Helen is a brave and pioneering artist who has chronicled the life span of her family, and of herself, for 50 years.  Yet she remains remarkably young and vital in spirit!  A dear friend, Helen has painted portraits of my entire family.  And I want to share this profile about Helen and her family and art that just appeared in the San Diego Union Tribune.  Art critic Robert Pincus did a wonderful job of encapsulating the trajectory of her art works into a brief and probing article.  For anyone confronting the mysteries of the life cycle, Helen is a brave and compassionate guide.  I
