“The Confessions of a Hausmann” usually tries to find humor in the chaos and irksomeness of family life.  But today, I return briefly to my role as editorial writer.  Seriously!  I can’t find humor in the killing of innocent children, women, and men by terrorists.  Today, in a speech at the military academy of West Point, Obama laid out his strategy for Afghanistan.  On British television, only a small snippet of his address was played, and did not represent the depth or breadth of his argument.  I urge you to listen to his speech in its entirety, and then make your judgment.
